Each candle is shipped in a hand-stamped wood box, made up in Maine. Speaking of versatility, that box would be great kindling for a fire while you’re out camping.

As our first attempt at making a product, the F.S.C. Barber Candle has involved a ton of trial, error, and personal attention to detail. Each candle is hand-poured into a reusable container, made by one of the last enamelware companies still manufacturing in the U.S. Unlike glass candle holders, the F.S.C. Barber candle’s container stays cool to the touch and will never explode. Plus, once the candle is done, you can reuse it as a camping cup!

For the F.S.C. Barber candle, we combined the smells from this classic mix of products with a woodsy scent inspired by F.S.C. Barber founder Sam Buffa’s childhood, when he used to tear around the forests of California, training as a competitive motorcycle racer. Put all of those scents together and the candle holds a unique combination of cypress, lime, myrtle, thyme, galbanum, vetiver, sandalwood, cedarwood and birch tar.

How the heck did we end up making a F.S.C. Barber candle?

Well, ever since the day we opened our first barbershop, people would come and tell us how much they loved the way the shop felt and smelled. That scent is a combination of classic men’s styling products – botanical aromas that are clean and comforting.
